Below “View the Conversation” it has class modules, homework, etc., keep scrolling and you will see…

    Week #1 Resources
    Week #2 Resources, etc.

Within those downloads are the slides and any other documents I upload.

    Hope that helps!

Did everyone find the slides okay?

Lacy, I probably won’t make the updates until my fall course and they will probably be minor, but I will happily send you the update when we do that. In the meantime, it’s worth having this one. We updated before our fall 2020 class, so it’s still good! 🙂

Great questions! Here’s what I’m thinking. Let’s have everyone start making a list of questions so that on our last day we can go over these. There may be some that we answer in the next few classes, if not we can do them on the last day when the builder is with me.
I printed your questions so we have them for reference.

Hi Hillary! Good question! We will be talking more about the selection process today!

But yes, typically we shop from vendors that the builder has a trusted relationship with. That’s why we always meet with the builder before we start the selection process to discuss budgets and vendors.

I think we touched on the pros and cons of ordering items for the build/remodel on the first day, but it would be nice to hear how others are tackling it. 🙂

Thank you Rachel! That is so kind of you!

To answer Gloria’s question, yes, it’s best to hire someone to do the CAD work for you. I learned CAD eons ago and hired it out until I hired in-house designers to do it for me.

We want your spec book to be professional and where hand drawn elevations would have worked in the past, it isn’t acceptable anymore. Plus it will save you time and a lot of erasers! 😉
