I totally agree. I remember many years ago I went to a two day seminar given by a well know Canadian Designer Kimberley Seldon. Although there were many take aways, the one that stuck the most was “it’s ok to fire some clients!” I share that with all my Window Treatment Specialists. Some people are just not your client…and I’ve seen it with low budget clients as well as those with high budgets…If they are going to be energy suckers then they are just not worth your time and energy.
Thank you the book suggestion Susan…It will be my next Audible selection as soon as I finish Traction (another great book)agata.olivieriParticipantHi All,
I totally agree with nailing down all the steps. The flowcharts are a great visual to plan out who is doing what and at what stage.
I am in the process or reorganizing the roles and responsibilities of my staff to try to cut out all the redundancies that take up so much time and energy. Going paperless (as much as possible) is the fist big take away and working on a system that will allow for entering information once would be my second take aeay.agata.olivieriParticipantIt feels so good to be in class again especially on a topic I am so passionate about.
Although there were many, the biggest aha moment for me was that no matter what phase we are in our business, we are all faced with similar struggles.
I wish I had this class twenty years ago when I was growing the business. My business is in the Scaling Stage. I have many of the people in place for that level but I am not sure it can operate without me or my partner, because my processes are not on paper. Is it success? Yes. Is it saleable? No.
I need to have documented processes to help me achieve my goal of getting time back to spend on activities away from my business.I am so ready to take a breath and start working on my business yoga practice. “The more we work on the process the easier it will be the complete the tasks.”
