Jenny- first off, thank you so much for all of the fantastic information you have shared with us! I’m putting together the binder for my first ground up new build and this class has been a godsend for me during the process. Typing out my table of contents basically helps me create a “to-do” list for elevations and details- what i needed to wrangle all this information in.

I had a couple of questions on where you like to place things in the binder.

Do you include the manufacturer spec sheet for every single item (lighting, appliances, plumbing) and where you place them. For example-would you place the spec sheet for each and every light under the “lighting” tab behind the lighting schedule or under the room tab it is used in?

Also, under the design presentation tab- do you place every room concept board under this tab and then leave the drawings and elevations for each individual room tab? Thanks!

    Hi Jocelyn,

I’m so glad the class is helping you!
I put the spec sheets for lighting, plumbing, appliances, etc., behind it’s coordinating finish schedule.
Ya, the presentation is just the concept pages, so totally up to you if you want to add it or not. I promise they never look at it. 😉 haha. All drawings and elevations go under their individual tabs.
    Great questions!
