Guest Consideration
A Well-Designed Business® has been publishing bi-weekly conversations since 2016 and includes more than 1,100 episodes focused on the business of interior design.
The podcast serves interior designers at all stages of their careers and is especially known for its extensive library of foundational business education. Because of this, guest conversations are curated carefully and selected based on their ability to add a distinct, relevant point of view to the existing body of work.
There are two ways guests appear on the show:
Iconic & Industry-Leading Guests
From time to time, we feature well-known designers, industry leaders, authors, and cultural voices whose work and platforms expand the reach of the podcast and introduce influential perspectives to the AWDB audience.
These guests are reviewed through a separate editorial lens. Guest commitment to promotion of the episode is an important part of these collaborations.
Distinct Contribution Guests
We also consider designers and industry professionals whose experience offers a meaningful and distinct contribution to conversations already explored on the podcast.
Because many foundational topics have been covered extensively, submissions in this category must demonstrate familiarity with the show and clearly articulate what is being added that is different, valuable, and relevant, rather than repeated.
Strategic Brand Partnerships & Sponsored Conversations
In addition to editorial guest interviews, A Well-Designed Business® occasionally partners with established brands and professional service providers for sponsored podcast episodes.
These conversations are designed to educate our audience while highlighting solutions that meaningfully support interior designers as business owners. Sponsored episodes are structured, guided discussions—not product pitches—and are offered on a limited basis.

Please note:
- A Well-Designed Business® is not a homeowner-facing podcast. All conversations must be directed to interior designers as business owners.
- Submissions focused primarily on design philosophy, aesthetics, or homeowner outcomes are unlikely to be accepted unless they are clearly translated into practical business applications for designers.
- Due to the volume of submissions, not all submissions will receive a response. If you do not hear from us within two weeks, please consider it a no.
